{"id":6337,"date":"2024-07-24T04:21:57","date_gmt":"2024-07-24T04:21:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grdiplomatic.com\/?p=6337"},"modified":"2024-07-24T04:22:02","modified_gmt":"2024-07-24T04:22:02","slug":"ebrds-new-vp-visits-turkey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/grdiplomatic.com\/en\/ebrds-new-vp-visits-turkey\/","title":{"rendered":"EBRD\u2019s new VP visits Turkey"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Matteo Patrone<\/strong>, Vice President for Banking at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), is set to visit Turkey&nbsp;from 22 to 26 July, and will be Mr&nbsp;Patrone\u2019s first official visit to the country in his new role as EBRD Vice President.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"627\" height=\"552\" src=\"https:\/\/grdiplomatic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6340\" srcset=\"https:\/\/grdiplomatic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/1.png 627w, https:\/\/grdiplomatic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/1-300x264.png 300w, https:\/\/grdiplomatic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/1-480x423.png 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 627px) 100vw, 627px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>During his visit, Mr Patrone will meet T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s Treasury and Finance Minister, Mr Mehmet \u015eim\u015fek, and high officials of the Ministry of Industry and Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Patrone will also hold discussions with members of the Turkish Industry and Business Association (T\u00dcS\u0130AD) and key industry representatives, as well as with existing clients of the Bank in the energy, banking and retail sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Patrone will be accompanied on the visit by the EBRD\u2019s new Managing Director for T\u00fcrkiye and the Caucasus, Ms <strong>Elisabetta Falcetti<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"443\" height=\"271\" src=\"https:\/\/grdiplomatic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/grdiplomatic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/2.png 443w, https:\/\/grdiplomatic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/2-300x184.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 443px) 100vw, 443px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year, EBRD invested a record \u20ac2.5 billion in T\u00fcrkiye, driven by green investments and the need to respond to the February 2023 earthquakes.
