{"id":4695,"date":"2023-07-08T04:35:56","date_gmt":"2023-07-08T04:35:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grdiplomatic.com\/?p=4695"},"modified":"2023-07-08T04:35:59","modified_gmt":"2023-07-08T04:35:59","slug":"nato-worried-on-kosovo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/grdiplomatic.com\/en\/nato-worried-on-kosovo\/","title":{"rendered":"NATO worried on Kosovo"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>NATO\u2019s Assistant Secretary General for Operations, <strong>Tom Goffus<\/strong>, reiterated NATO\u2019s steadfast commitment to promote regional stability during a visit to Kosovo on 5 July 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Goffus met with representatives of the Institutions in Kosovo, as well as with the Commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, the Head of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), and other representatives of the international community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is urgent that both Pristina and Belgrade take immediate steps towards de-escalation\u2026 it is also essential that both sides appropriately coordinate actions on the ground and respect existing agreements,\u201d he said. \u201cWhile KFOR has proven essential in the ongoing environment, <strong>the solution for lasting stability is a political one<\/strong>. It is critical that both Kosovo and Serbia engage constructively in the EU-facilitated dialogue.
